Gonna Miss Those Littles
My parents came into town.
They are watching the girls for a week while Tyson and I head for a trip to Puerto Rico.
I'm gonna miss those littles of mine.
...but not too much.
Cause Puerto Rico will be awesome.

Staying Busy
The last few days have been busier.
Trip to the zoo
Eden's science night.Shopping for last minute trip things....such as sunglasses (that were NOT $250, thank you Ross).
Late over friend parties with (exploding...not on purpose) chocolate ice cream bowls.
I'm sick.
So is Tyson.

YMCA
I've really been trying to be better about exercise lately.
I renewed my membership a while back.
And I've been off and on about how good I am at going.
But it's nice when I do make it.
And sometimes it's fun to go when the girls have their kids exercise classes as well.

Back to Life
Eden had school off yesterday.
So we all just took school off.
(With the exception that I went to the gym and took my car to be inspected.)
Now it is back to normal.
Eden went back to school and has a big test she's taking.
The English portion lasted today and tomorrow for three hours.
She said she did really well and kind of enjoyed the quiet of it all.
But she likes reading conprehension.
Next week will be two days of math testing...
She may not enjoy it quite as much.
The younger girls and I headed to co-op this morning.
(On a playground with cupcake on your face, can life be better?)
I found out that my car registration was expired...so that needed to be dealt with.
I'm on a quest to find good sunglasses that I like for our Puerto Rico trip....
No luck.
I don't think I've ever found a pair of glasses that I 100% liked.
Although one pair was pretty darn close.
Not realizing how expensive sunglasses could be, I went into a sunglasses store....found the perfect pair...and of course saw the price of $250 and just couldn't get myself to bite that bullet.
So I am back to sunglassesless.
Well, tomorrow is another day in paradise.

Happy Easter!
Yesterday's events included a daddy/daughter date with Eden and Leila frisbee golfing, babysitting some neighbor kids, a mini egg hunt, egg dying, last minute shopping, and scripture study on the resurrection.
Good thing daddy has some old shirts that he's getting rid of to use for dying eggs.
Today's events were Easter bunny baskets, church, and a mini lesson on the resurrection.
The Easter bunny gave the girls baskets filled with lots of candy, either a ball or frisbee (for frisbee golf), and a hoola hoop (of course not IN the basket).
Breakfast we had creamed eggs with our colored eggs from yesterday.
Lunch was....candy.
Dinner was ham, funeral potatoes, corn on the cob, and watermelon.
And dessert was resurrection rolls.
A good portion of today was spent either eating candy or playing outside with their new toys. They loved the frisbee and hoola hoops.

Good Ending
So, of course I have such a great day yesterday that it has to crash and burn today.
I was so angry with the girls today.
Fighting, fighting, fighting.
So, I fought back (all with words of course).
It was all just a not-so-glorious day overall.
But then Tyson and I left on a shopping date while the girls were at a friend's house.
And when I got back, I was finally myself again.
And so were the kids.
(I never noticed Paige's little face in the window until now! Ha ha!)
But the best thing about kids is that they are the best at forgiving.
Cause I need a lot of forgiveness.

Lipsense Vibe
So, this was the only picture that I took today...
I took it early this morning because Eden found my Lipsense lipgloss that I thought I had lost, possibly at the library, and had given up hope of finding it. I mourned the loss of this lipgloss the previous night (mostly because it is rather expensive and didn't want to buy a new one but also couldn't use my Lipsense lipstain without it). I was so excited when it was found that I took a picture and texted it to Tyson to exclaim my joy.
That was today.
Joy.
After finding my lipgloss, my day continued.
Send Eden off to the bus stop.
Homeschool with Leila and Molly.
Zumba at the YMCA.
Grocery store run.
Home to shower and get ready for the day.
I picked up Eden from school, it was early day (that she gets once a month) and I picked her up because my friend, Kimmarie, took me and then girls out to eat at an all-you-can-eat Asian restaurant. We all made sure we were plenty hungry. And it was delicious! The girls all loved it as well.
Then we came home and I took a nap with Paige.
Then Eden had the idea to go swimming at the YMCA since it was about dinner time and no one was get hungry. Sounded good to me. Tyson was skeptical, saying, "I don't know, the house is a mess." Eden said, "Then we'll clean!" And she cleaned, including doing all the dishes.
Eden, Molly, Paige, and I then went swimming and Leila chose to play in the play area instead. We had a great time. And Tyson was glad to get a little studying done. It was nice to have some good quality time with Eden. Now that she's at school, I get less of those times. So it is so great to have those good times.
We came home.
Had a late dinner while Tyson read Harry Potter to the girls.
Got ready for bed.
Read scriptures and said prayers.
Then off to bed.
Good day.
No pictures...but a good day.

National Library Week
Upon going to library story time, we found that it is National Library Week!
The library set up a mini scavenger hunt with a sucker flower prize at the end.
Today was a normal Wednesday.
School.
Library story time.
Gymnastics.
And the weather was wonderful, so the girls had a blast playing outside in the evening. We got out the bubble machine, rode bikes, and wrote with sidewalk chalk.
It is so nice to be able to go outside.

Mary Had a Little Lamb
Today was a co-op day.
Not too much happened.
It was a pretty good day overall.

Patience
Today's mini seminary lesson was pretty good considering it was last minute.
Our topic, patience.
I made oobleck (cornstarch and water "slime").
For anyone unfamiliar with oobleck, it looks like slime and if you hold it then it melts in your hand like a liquid but if you try to force it to go faster or push at it then it acts like a solid.
And I talked about how something people and life in general are like the oobleck.
If you try to force things too fast without patience then both you and the "oobleck" just end up frustrated, use unnecessary energy, and make the situation more difficult.
But if you take it slow and move at the oobleck's pace then it goes smoothly with little effort.
I could use more patience with my ooblecks in life.
It seems that I inevitably struggle with whatever principle I try to teach my children.
In this case patience.
Other than my patience lesson...
Today Molly and Paige had their long awaited "swimming day" at the YMCA.
Molly has been begging to go, so I set a date on the calendar to make sure it would happen.
And it did.
They were so happy to be in the water.
Leila said she'd rather go to the childcare area to play.
We also did school.
Legos.
And more TV than I should have let happen.
In general, it was a good day.
Would have been better if I were more patient.

Neighborhood Easter Egg Party
Today was our neighborhood Easter party!
Eden even wanted a special hairdo for the occasion. "Nest with eggs in it".
There was an Easter egg hunt.
Face painting.
Pictures with the Easter bunny.
And a cake walk.
We all had a blast.
Then the girls came home and traded candy, ate candy, and organized candy.
While I went out swimsuit shopping.
Then they continued with their candy (and other play time).
And dad went out with some guys from the ward to play frisbee golf.
We joined up again for dinner.
Had a cleaning session.
Then dad went out with a bunch of other guys friends for a game night.
And the girls and I had cupcakes (from the Easter party) and watched a late night movie.
Now it's off to bed.
