There is a new theme every month. We have a song, prayer, scripture and article of faith. Then I have some sort of lesson I teach on the subject.
This month's theme is "attentiveness".
During the month I plan to focus on noticing when another is in need, listening to parents and teachers, and listening to God and the Holy Ghost.
A lot of material I get comes from a website called Kids of Integrity.

The song this month is
The scripture is D&C 19:23
And the third Article of Faith
"Little Lambs So White and Fair"
The scripture is D&C 19:23
"Learn of me, and listen to my words,
walk in the meekness of my Spirit,
and you shall have peace in me."
And the third Article of Faith
"We believe that through
the Atonement of Christ,
all mankind may be saved,
by obedience to the laws
and ordinances of the gospel."
It has been a lot of fun.
We start every month with a "kick-off craft" which basically is a craft to introduce the theme and have a place to put their scripture of the month so they can take it home and have it displayed somewhere to help them memorize it.
Today we learned what it means to be "attentive".
Read a few books on the subject.
We talked about how animals pay attention to their surroundings.
Played a game of "name that sound".

And made hats with animal ears on them to remember to be more attentive this month.
Molly had bear ears, Eden made deer ears, and Leila had ladybug antennas (though not really ears, she really wanted to do a ladybug's antennas).
After the lesson was over, the kids ran around for a while pretending to be animals listening for predators.
