Bebe's House

Leila stayed the night at Becca's house while Eden, Molly and I stayed at Laura's house. She calls her Bebe and could easily win as "favorite aunt" in Leila's eyes.

I came to pick her up this morning (after going to a garage sale and buying three strollers....another story perhaps).

We ended up staying and baking and decorating six layer cakes.

(McKell's fondant flower cake.)

(Leila's Minion cake.)

(Eden wanted to make "Candyland")

(A small view of the colored inside layers.)

We ended up playing at the park, watching movies, going to Michaels and Hobby Lobby, eating at Cafe Rio, and finally dccided to simply spend the night over at Becca's.

The girls are upstairs making flower crowns.

We love Bebe's house.

Waking Up In the Mountains

Yoga on the roof.
Popcorn on the porch.
Paint wooden necklaces.
Play in a stream.

Life on a mountain.

Then we came out of the mountain...

Took a bath.
Watched Trey score a goal in soccer.
Ate fish the men caught in Oregon.
Put in a late movie.

....and make a late trip back to Orem for a child's blanket that was left behind.

Drive back.
Sleepover at the Watson's.

Curiosity Museum

We went to Curiosity Museum at Thanksgiving Point. Our Science City pass in Kansas City works at Thanksgiving Point. AWESOME!

It was pretty incredible.

Of course it was busy, an we may have had a child *cough Molly cough* go into the jungle gym area and need help from several strangers trying too help her figure out how to get out of there.

But overall, it was fun.

The End of the Fishing Trip

Fishing is done.

The guys have returned.

Tyson's sad to return to an empty house and go back to busy work. I know he had a blast.

While the boys were making their triumphal return, we were beautifying ourselves with makeup, dress up clothes, nail polish, and pink hair.

Even Trey got some pink hair.

It was a big day and a late night.

Eden and Leila were so excited that they stayed up until midnight that they wanted a picture to prove it.

Now it's definitely time for bed.

Pioneer Day at the Finlinsons

We came back to the Finlinson's house.

Nana and Papa spoke (wonderfully) in church and Grammie and Grandpa Walker come for a Pioneer Day dinner (pizzas on the grill).

Kylie taught the girls a basic crochet stitch and Eden made a SUPER long rope that they used to put on a play of Rapunzel on the balcony after dinner.

"Rapunzel! Rapunzel! Let down your long braid!"

"What? My AID?"

(Throws down a play first aid kit)

Rapunzel! Rapunzel! Throw down your long tresses!"

"What? My DRESSES?"

(Thows down some dresses)

It was a fabulous show.

Bravo! Bravo!

Becca! Becca! Read This Post!

A milestone has been reached.

Actually 3.5 miles to be exact.

Cause that is how long I jogged today without stopping to walk on a trail!

And, if my google search is correct, a 5k stands for 5 kilometers and is only 3.1 miles long. Which means I actually ran the length of a 5k!!

Woot! Woot!

Quite a feat for me...the anti-runner.

Becca, be proud.

This morning we attempted and rather failed to run a 5k with a group of Becca's friends (the kids made the run more of a walk that ended halfway through) (in all fairness, Leila and Miriana did an awesome job running and keeping up, Eden didn't do so well and Paige cried while in the wagon wanting me to pull her instead of McKell). We bribed them to make it as far as they could.

We did succeed at eating our reward treat of shaved ice.

And Tyson has been off with the boys on an Oregon fishing trip (sponsored by grandma Namba THANK YOU) successfully catching crabs and fish.

And also successfully eating them.

The Sakamoto Side

Splash pad at Liberty Park.
Discount clothes shopping.
Swimming at Becca's house.
Karaoke pajama party.

Good day.

Running on a Trail

I'm so out of shape.

But my sister, Becca, convinced me to sign up for a 5k...and a 10k.

In training for a 5k.  Today was the first day I've been able to go on a real trail to train instead of a treadmill.

Ugh.

Becca is not my friend right now.

In other news, last night nana decided to have a "full moon party" since the full moon was out. We went out at night, up the canyon, set out lights, danced, and ate various moon treats like moon pies and milky ways.  It was a great party!

Today the girls have just been having fun with cousins.

Just Keep Driving. Just Keep Driving.

My girls have been champs with all the driving.  We only stopped once yesterday and once today on our drive simply for gas and a short potty break.

But...

We made it!!

On Our Way

Day one of our travels to Utah complete.

We brought our babysitter, Elif, with us to help along the way (and she's been a BIG help).

We made it to Denver, Colorado and we are staying with Elif's relatives. They have kids around my kids ages and they all had a blast together. They have been so nice to house us AND feed us. Thank you much!

Now I just gotta get Paige to go to sleep so I can prepare for the journey tomorrow.

Utah, here we come!
