Swimming lessons.
Shopping.
Date night.
Today was a good day. It was so nice to have a good time with Tyson around. These long weeks of night float are such killers. I let him catch up on desperately needed sleep while I took the kids to swim lessons. But then we were able to go out as a family and do some returns, shop for a baptism dress for Eden, and visit the much desired destination "The American Girl Doll Store".
Then we were able to finish the night off with a triple date with the Churchs and Guenthers. We had a BLAST. We were able to just laugh and joke and have a great time while we went out to eat.
I'm glad I got a date night with Tyson....before we leave to Utah.
We decided to leave early to Utah.
1st Plan: October in Utah
2nd Plan: Mid-September to end of October in Utah
3rd Plan: Early September to end of October in Utah
4th Plan: Mid-August to end of October in Utah
5th Plan: Mid-July to end of October in Utah
That's 3 1/2 months in Utah visiting family.
The plan was to go during the month of October while Tyson had conferences in DC. Then we realized right before leaving, Tyson had another night float....so, we planned to leave two weeks earlier. Then Eden decided she wanted to be baptized in Utah with family, so we planned to come out, with Tyson, a week before his night float to have the baptism and spend time with family. Then there was an...unofficial...announcement made about a possible upcoming marriage within the family which would require us to come a few weeks earlier than that...and it seemed pointless for us to drive to Utah and then drive back to Kansas City to then drive back to Utah again in a few weeks after. So, that extended our travels another half month. Then I looked the schedule for this month to realize that Tyson has night float, works all weekends (but this weekend), and is leaving for a guys fishing trip in Oregon sponsored by my grandma as a gift to them for about a week.
I'm excited to be with family.
I'm nervous to try to homeschool outside of "home".
I'm sad that Tyson will be gone for so long.
I'm glad to have so much family around to keep my sanity while Tyson's gone so long.
p.s. With all the running around, I completely forgot to take pictures. It must have been that good (and busy) of a day that I completely forgot about taking pictures.
